ULIA activities and payment of your membership dues means a lot more than the numbers of professionals we have in the country and beyond. You may also be aware that, our profession is rapidly expanding. The purpose, intent and mission of ULIA SHOULD be to keep up with pace and to lead the way. With unity, and solemn purpose we can demonstrate to the rest of the region how innovative, involved, committed and passionate we are to our profession and the Association.
During the first quarter of our term of office (Sept- Dec 2016), ULIA has participated in a number of activities. For instance: conducting the BSLA Advocacy Workshop on the UN Agenda 2030 and SDGs held at Makerere University; participated in the Commissioning of the State-of-the Art Archives and Records Centre building;
participated in the Public and Community Librarians workshop; participated in the International Advocacy Training (IAP) workshop in Pretoria; Organised the Children’s Reading Tent at Muni University, Arua; and Commissioned the SCECSAL National Organising Committee (NOC) for organising SCECSAL 2018.
